Situated in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre in Seine-et-Marne, the Auberge de Condé has a warm and elegant ambiance. This hotel with its rich past, lying in the heart of the Briard region at the gates of Champagne, offers you a gourmet restaurant,a Bistrot's formule, intimate and charming accommodation, and meeting rooms that are comfortable, functional and totally equipped for professional exchanges.
A subtle combination of tradition and modernity, the Auberge de Condé has been reborn after a ten-year sleep, and now offers all the delights of a place where you feel instantly at home.
Lying on the major communication route inevitably taken by travelers between Brie and Champagne, the impressive property was first a city tollhouse, then a post house.
It became the "Auberge de Condé" in 1947, when Alexis-Emile Tingaud gave it a second life centered on the pleasures of high living. As a pioneer of French gastronomy, which he raised to the level of a genuine art, the Chef Tingaud turned the Auberge de Condé into a culinary reference with two Michelin stars, attracting many celebrities of the time on the way.
At the end of the Nineties a long silence fell on the Auberge, until its acquisition in 2004 by Précieuse and Manuel Castro. The couple, of Portuguese origin, were deeply fascinated by the history of the celebrated restaurant and decided to give the Auberge de Condé a new lease of life, by helping to restore the prestige and aura of its former glory.
